The Problem
One of the more frustrating and discouraging things that newer or lower Steem Power users face on this platform is getting an upvote that isn't considered "dust" (upvotes under $0.02).
With users that do not have the financial means to invest into STEEM (which is the best and fastest way to improve your influence and voting weight here on the blockchain), there is an option to leverage a little amount of Steem Power by delegating to the curation service .
A user that has 50 Steem Power does not even have a vote worth $0.01 at 100%, however if that Steem Power is delegated to , that user can make up to $0.04 in upvotes daily on original, quality content.
The Solution
The process is simple. Pay the membership fee of $2 STEEM, delegate 50 Steem Power to , ensure that you have
on an auto-upvote from
of either 100% or a minimum of $0.02 (whichever is less), and tag "thundercurator" in the post tags.
Larger Upvote for Larger Delegations
You can receive upvotes up to $1.17 TWICE A DAY buy joining and delegating to it.
Full breakdown of tier levels can be found here
No Steem Power to Delegate? No Problem, You Can Still Receive Upvotes!
You can still become a member by following the membership requirements above and receive one $0.01 upvote daily, it's a start but not as effective in dealing with the dust issue if your upvotes do not total $0.02 or more (unless you self vote or receive enough votes to break this threshold).
Conclusion
The curation is one of the most effective ways to increase your post rewards and maximize your Steem Power within the blockchain. The return on your Steem Power investment is one of the best on Steemit, if not the best.
Also worth to mention that it is recommended that you keep some Steem Power in your account with the recent Hard Fork implementation to allow you to continue to vote and post, so it is not recommended to delegate all of your Steem Power to the service.
