Let's do some maths of this seemingly genius system to help people earn:
When you delegate 250 Steem you will breakeven at:
- Currently 1 Steem is 2.26 USD and 1 SBD is 1.67 USD
- 250 Steem is 565 USD
- Assuming price stays the same: One vote of $0.5 will get you
0.5 X 0.75 (author rewards) = 0.375. Lets say you choose 50/50 rewards so 0.1875 USD will be paid in Steem (which is 0.08 Steem) and 0.1875 will be paid in SBD, which is 0.1875 X 1.67 = 0.31 USD. Lets assume you convert the SBD to Steem you will get 0.14 Steem. - So effectively you will get about 0.14 + 0.08 = 0.22 Steem if the price stays constant.
- To break even you would have to make 250/0.22 = 1136 posts.
- If you would post once a week it will take about 3 YEARS to break even.
- This calculation doesn't include the curation rewards you lose that all goes to jerry. (you get about 10% of the 250 steem in curation rewards so in 3 years about 75 steem will go to his pocket)
- In terms of investing this is a really bad deal as you don't only lose curation rewards, but also the time to make the posts. This is just wrong for many reasons
. Under this system I only see people going to spam more as who want to wait 3+ years to get their investment back. Especially in the crypto world there are much better investment options for the 565 USD.
Jerry has God who you always talk about send you to help people or milk them for your own pocket.
