If you've been following me for a while, you may have noticed that I have frequently posted links to blog posts that I have written for the Medium Partner Program. But I've been having a bit of a think and I've decided that it's time that I moved all the way to Steem.
You see, Medium is great - it pays wells for your efforts and writing, and it manages it all for you. But equally so, it doesn't do much for the new people. The people who want to get into writing, but just don't have the popularity to back them up.
A bit like me, really.
But Steem is so much more. Firstly, new people can actually get noticed, and there are many things available for new people to get a bit of exposure. Secondly, it's much more of a community. Medium is more like a newspaper - you read a post, say "huh, that's interesting", maybe leave a quick comment, and that's it. Steem allows for a much better connection between writer and reader. And also, there's no single person pulling all the strings. It's just the community sharing what they like.
Over the next few days, you'll see my Medium posts migrating to here. They will be copies, so you don't need to read them again if you've already read them. If you're an admin of a bot that could flag me for plagiarism, please let me know and we can work together to prevent false positives.
