It appears EOS's Voice may not be the Steemit.com killer many thought after all!
After sifting through the news and details about the new Voice release, I feel better than ever how it relates to steem and steemit.com.
Why do I think that?
Well for a couple reasons actually...
But mainly in the core differences between the two.
For some of the details on how Voice will differ from Steemit.com, see my post yesterday:
https://steemit.com/steemit/@jrcornel/eos-announces-voice-what-does-that-mean-for-steemit-com
The differences are why Steemit.com will benefit.
To fully illustrate what I mean by that, see this little nugget pasted from in my post yesterday:
Seeing this really got me thinking...
So, we have a platform in Voice that will require people to verify their identity in order to use it. That is fine and makes a lot of sense, however, it won't appeal to everyone.
There are many out there that simply would rather mostly remain anonymous online.
And that is where steemit.com comes in...
My thoughts on how exactly this will benefit steemit.com...
Voice and EOS are likely going to spend large amounts of money promoting Voice, which will likely bring in many new users that are not currently in the crypto space.
Undoubtedly, some of those users will prefer to remain anonymous with their posting/blogging. Which points them right to steemit.com and steem.
Which means, steemit.com and steem may indirectly benefit significantly from the Voice promotions/advertising.
People originally thought that perhaps the new social app by EOS could possibly be the end of steemit.com, but seeing how different they are, it is possible that Voice actually helps steemit.com!
How's that for ironic! :)
Stay informed my friends.
