Ned Scott was spotted at the biggest blockchain event in the world, Consensus 2018.
Ned Scott was recently on a speaking tour in Asia, giving talks at South Korean media companies as well as Universities.
It is looking like he wrapped that up and is now in New York.
This was taken yesterday at the Content Monetization and True Net Neutrality conference in the Grand Ballroom West:

Ned spoke on the future of social media.
Specifically, this was the topic they discussed:
"While there’s a political debate going on around net neutrality, it amounts to little more than who gets to profit from content creators: internet service providers or platform providers like Youtube and Facebook. This panel convenes a group of people who flip this debate so that content creators have skin in the game to monetize their creations."
Not surprising Ned would be asked to speak on this topic as the CEO of Steemit.com.
The other guys on the panel are Ryan Shea of Blockstack, Adi Sideman of YouNow, and Brady Dale of Coindesk.

Unfortunately Ned Scott is the only one that appears to be sleeping during the debate. (I joke, the camera caught him mid blink)
Steem and Steemit represented this year.
It's unfortunate that Ned didn't give a steem and steemit specific pitch (that I am aware of), but this was better than nothing. At least steem and steemit were represented this year as opposed to years past.

It looks like Ned put up a video of his discussion that can be found here as well:

Here's to hoping SMTs are coming down the pipeline in the near future.
Steem could use an injection of some excitement.
Stay informed my friends.
