This picture was taken on the top of the famous Half Dome, located in Yosemite National Park. It's an 11-12 hour hike up and down, with an almost 90 degree climb up a rock face as the final stretch (I will post more photos of this last part later!) You need to win a ballot in order to do this climb - reason being to avoid human traffic jams from forming at the top.
