It’s difficult to get great content creators on Steem when the misaligned economy remains unfixed. Anyway, I just wanna move onto happier thoughts. For real, 110% guaranteed. Hope others will find strength to continue bearing the torch. Just copy and paste or my comments on anything regarding the problem and solution, if you believe it's pretty much our only other topic of discussion for like a year now.
As I’m still in my writing hellhole, maybe for eternity, I would just like to share a video tonight, made by TechLead on Youtube recently. It's a bit sarcastic at times, but overall it resonated well with Steem’s real potential:-
This is what some of us have been trying to suggest all along, a content discovery and rewards platform is key. All things considered, it's a vector that only requires 20% effort for 80% of the resulting network effects. Of course, under a favorable economic design. I'm the laziest guy in the universe, so maybe you can lowkey trust my non-expert and totally unbiased opinion here.
Too much is currently being invested into the large swath of content-indifferent activities that are less effective at producing long-term network effects. More coins, more apps, more use-cases, more bubblegum flavors, and more businesses are important, but arguably not the best form of leverage in the early stages. Perhaps what's more important now is to put a little more effort into having a functioning content discovery and rewards platform first. Then the rest will follow.
The lazy-ass curator in me is saying, go for it. Please try to invite TechLead. I've already reserved the account here. Hope he's up for it.
It's just a shame the economy is currently garbage for good content creation and discovery. Uh.. why am I talking about this again? I swear this is the longest breakup ever lol.
