This is a follow-up post on my previous post regarding the freewallet.org Android app wallet for STEEM.
Update: they eventually released my funds on June 23 after numerous threats on Twitter and several bad reviews on Google Play and other forums.
Have transferred the funds to Poloniex to play around with cryptocurrencies.
Verdict:
- If it was more STEEM they would've probably kept it. Think they release the funds based on who complains the loudest.
- Don't send any big funds to their wallet as it's kept in cold storage on a third partner server. Have not sent funds to any of their other "wallet" apps as yet but bet it's the same vibe.
- Rather get a hardware wallet that keeps the funds stored on the actual device.
