hello everyone!
The reason I joined this community is for 2 reasons.
1st) I want to learn more about cryptocurrency and the benefits that block chain technology can offer to society.
My cousin and I have started a small, and hopefully one day, profitable mining operation. The goal is to hedge for our future should this really take off and be used as a primary source of currency one day. If what Mcafee said is true the few coins we manage to mine should help us in the future!
2nd) I am hoping to better understand and update the community on various tax implications on trading or mining cryptocurrency. Uncle Sam always wants his cut, and believe me, there's few things worse than an Audit!
As a Tax accountant, reason #2 is especially important. It's my day job and while I highly doubt ANYONE in my immediate area is into bitcoins, one day in the future they might...
In any case, I'm new to the game. I'm still trying to learn to crawl in terms of understanding the lingo (hodl really threw me off the first time) and different alt-coins.
