I've been writing to some of the newbies that sign up, just to let them know if they have any questions, that this fellow minnow will be glad to try to help out. I'm using the "NEW" tab, and then limiting it to tab "introduceyourself," and for the past couple days I'm only seeing about 6-7 users signing up per hour--if the "introduce yourself" post-making is any kind of indication.
It seemed like the first day I got here (two+ weeks ago) there were a lot more newbies than that coming in.
Has something been changed in the display protocol for that particular tab? Have bots been eliminated? Anybody got any ideas?
If we are getting (let's be optimistic) ten newbies an hour, that is 240 per day or about 88,000 per year. That's a lot less than we need....We need to catch the big dogs ASAP, and that just ain't going to cut it.
