Heute möchte ich euch mein besticktes Tshirt vorstellen, welches das Steem Logo beeinhaltet sowie einen Fisch. Das Logo ist inspiriert oder abgeschaut von dem @Minnowsupport Logo, einfach weil ich es sooo schön und passend fand!
Today I would like to introduce you my embroidered t-shirt which contains the Steem logo as well as a fish. The logo is inspired or "copied" from the @Minnowsupport logo, simply because I found it sooo nice and fitting!

Als erstes: das Material
First of all: the Material
Ich habe ein einfaches dunkelblaues Tshirt genommen, Stickgarn in den drei Farben, eine Schere (ja die sieht komisch aus ist aber extra dafür :D) eine Nadel und das wichtigste: ein Stickrahmen. Außerdem wird noch die Vorlage mit einem weißen Stift aufs Tshirt gemalt, am Schluss wird das wieder rausgewaschen.
I've just grabbed a dark blue tshirt, embroidery floss in the 3 colours, scissors (yes ik it looks weird but it's made for this :D), a needle and the most important thing: an embroidery hoop. Oh and I drew the template on the shirt with a white pencil which washes out after it.
Und dann kann es auch schon richtig losgehen!
And then it can start immediately!
Man fängt einfach das Sticken auf der Linie an. Ich sticke hier mit dem "back-stitch", da stickt man praktisch rückwärts. Hier auf den Bildern kann man es eigentlich ganz gut erkennen. Nachdem ein Faden zu kurz wird oder man fertig mit einer Farbe ist knotet man hinten zu. Meistens mache ich 4-6 Knoten sicherheitshalber :D
Just start with embroidering on the outline. I embroider here with the back stitch, that means you embroider backwards. Here on the picture you can see it well. After a string is going to be too short or you're finished with one colour you have to knot it behinde the shirt. Usually I make 4-6 knots, safety first :D
Ich weiß, es sieht nicht danach aus, aber der gesamte Prozess von Anfang bis ende hat über 6 Stunden gedauert, über zwei Tage verteilt. Auch wenn man Teils nur auf einer Linie stickt, ist es nicht gerade einfach und man muss auch aufpassen, dass sich das Shirt nicht im Stickrahmen ausleiert. Außerdem sollte man besser keinen Fehler machen, denn das kann schon sichtbare Löcher geben.
I know it doesn't look like it, but the whole process from start to finish took over 6 hours, spread over two days. Even if you only embroider on one line it is not easy and you have to be careful that the shirt does not wear out in the embroidery frame. Besides, it's better not to make a mistake because there can be visible holes if you make one. It's not as easy as it looks!
Hier könnt ihr den schwierigsten und zeitaufwendigsten Schritt sehen! Das Ausfüllen... Ich muss dazu sagen: das ist das zweite mal überhaupt, dass ich diese Stickart des Ausfüllens benutze, also bin ich noch sehr neu und ungeübt darin. Es hat ewig gedauert und es ist auch nicht perfekt geworden, das weiß ich. Dennoch finde ich, es ist ein anschaubares Ergebnis geworden und ich hoffe wirklich sehr, dass es euch auch gefällt! Ich würde mich seeehr über Kommentare und Meinungen freuen!
Here you can see the most difficult and time consuming step! The filling out process... I have to say: this is the second time I have used this type of embroidery at all, so I am still very new and untrained in it. It took forever and it wasn't perfect neither, I know that. Still, I think it's a good result and I really hope you like it! I would be very happpy about comments and opinions!
