So besides the controversy with with the amount of bidbots used for his post, he went on to claim that steem will surpass bitcoin.......
WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING?
To say that is like saying wood will be replacing steel in all building structures.. it just won't happen. Bitcoin is the foundation of all cryptos, just like how we a STEEL support beam in our houses. If that beam wasn't there, the house is coming down.
There are better coins out there to possibly pick up the mantle, like ltc or eth..... I dare to even say Bitcoin cash too. Take a look at Reddit, and do you see any mention of steem in r/cryptocurrency? NO!
Yes, that subreddit in particular is known for shilling, but I sure as hell don't see anyone shilling steem! Also, I decided to take a look at your Twitter, since you do have quite a bit of followers.
Sure seems like those 101,000 followers don't agree with that statement. Maybe some of them didn't see it, or maybe you have what we call fake followers? Who knows. But here is something else. Take a look at the screenshot from coinmarketcap from January 1st of 2017
Yes, the value wasn't high yet, but it was in the #10 spot. Now, take a look at the top ten today.
Quite a bit different don't you think? Steem, along with quite a few others, are nowhere in sight. So, where does steem sit today?
At #31! Seems to me like alot of negativity from steemit might've played a huge factor in it's drop. But one thing hasn't changed, and that's Bitcoin still sitting at #1.
Don't get me wrong, steemit can be a successful platform, the value is there. But with all the other cryptos out there, I just don't see it happening. I wouldn't be surprised after the end of this year its sitting below #60. Something might surpass bitcoin someday, but that won't be steem. I'm expecting you to write another post at the end of 2021 , and it better be you admitting you were wrong.
