To my shock earlier today, I found a downvote next to my recent Actifit post. Considering some people who post Actifit posts each day, I didn't think posting one Actifit post in the past week constitutes Spam. And so I browsed through replies to and found numerous people had the same issue. Getting flags for no reason, and many of these people reputable people on Steem.
My question is: Is
doing more harm than good?
The feeling of receiving a flag for no reason is arguably 10 times worse than receiving an upvote. And this kind of behavior is what drives people away from Steem, even loyal users.
At the minimum, I believe there should be a comment left when posts are flagged, so that people can dispute the flags.
If we all want the Steem blockchain to prosper, then we need a better way to manage spam. In my opinion, the RC credit system goes a long way to controlling spam, and is only driving loyal users away from our blockchain.
