Personally, I don't think that ads will solve the problem.

Also... ads can be only integrated with interfaces like Steemit and Busy. This will not help Steem directly. Also... Steem already has to many ads, because actually all posts which bought votes are like ads - unwanted content.

Steemit Inc. still has millions of dollars in STEEM. They screw-up by not securing enough funds in FIAT during a bull market.

Also... Steemit will never be able to earn from ads as much as Facebook. Why? Because Facebook basically spy you, to be able to serve you better matched ads. People will not allow for that here.
