Steemit little secret

Here is a little secret I discovered. When users sign up on Steemit, they usually use the same username they have on other sites. After all, if you choose John or Mary as your username, the chances are that it's not available and someone else got it first. What about short, 3 letters words? People also like them, but they are also taken usually. Well, in Steemit many of them are still free to get. My username Hive account@ond is actually half of the username I actually use on other websites. But as I was typing, I saw that it was available. So, I got it. People just type fast and usually miss it when the system tells them a short word is available. So next time you sign up, be careful what username to pick. It's much easier to remember that Hive account@ned is the 'king' of Steemit than username1983.
