I reached reputation 68 in these last days. I reached 1500 followers too. Wow!
What does it mean?
As regard Reputation, we know Rep is a indicator of how your posting and curating is valued by other users. It is also a way to avoid fake accounts and bots to damage good users. I'm not sure if this works as it was supposed to. Steemit Welcome Page define it so:
"A reputation score is one way Steemit measures the amount of value you have brought to the community. The higher the number, the more weighted votes an account has earned."
Anyway, you can read more about Reputation in this post.

From the same post you can see how Reputation grows up. Consider the x-axis as your global activity on Steem (if it is regular) and y as your reputation. Earning reputation is harder and harder as it gets higher.
But how people consider the Reputation of other users? I think it indicates how long one user has been active on Steem e how much he contributed in posting and curating. It's not and indicator of the quality of a single post, of course.
I like to consider an high reputation also as and indicator of decency. With exceptions, sure.
Let me say this:
Everyone is on Steem for the money. But it is not just a matter of earning money. It is also about giving and distributing money, helping worthy users, playing a role in this community.
I think this is what makes great this community. Not just the good contents or the amazing people you can find and share.
And, yes!, I want also to thank all the 1505 followers I got. (Ok, 465 of them are not active anymore, according the app DeadFollowers. ;) )
SEE YOU IN LISBON! We are in Art At Steemfest!
