I love month-end reporting. Setting month targets and KPIs, when challenging, can be fun( how sad, it's time I got a life). Watching the numbers during the month and adjusting the plan as I go so I can meet the targets is a big driver for me.
I have been working hard on SEO and traffic on The Excel Club. You may remember that I had set myself a 10% month on month traffic growth target. I have exceeded this target each month and August was no exception. I bet if I didn't exceed the target I wouldn't be loving month-end reporting so much 🤣🤣🤣
You can see my blog pageview targets below. All my blog posts now include the steem logo and many include a steem learn and earn activity.
Pageviews and visitors are different. There were almost 10.5k unique visitors to the blog in August. I may still be only a small fry, but that's not bad exposure for steem to content consumers.
Conversions to steem not great. My stats say I sent 24 people to signup.steemit.com in August. What happened to these once they got there is anyone's guess.
I also offer in my weekly email (conversions to which are much better) a free steem account. I have set up 20+ of these and delegated to each of them enough so they can comment on my blog. Very few have engaged to date. And, I noticed that of those that are, some have not collected their rewards (small and all as they are). Dohhhhh. It would feel a bit odd going back to them and saying "em I'm stalking your wallet and I see you didnt buy an steem collect your rewards". Although I do have an excuse seems I am delegating to them. Maybe I should tell them how to vote while I am at it. The joys.
Steempress have also made some changes. You can now comment on my blogs with a steempress account rather than a steem account. From what I understand, will then follow up with the user to set up a full steem account. And steempress will hold liquid rewards earned on their comments with the steempress account, for when they do get up a full account. How awesome is that! Although on my blog, no one seems to have signed up for a steempress yet.
The only downer right now, which I hope to over come somehow, is my vote value on comments. With the new curve introduced in HF21, I have to give this some thought. The model hinged on the fact that I could reward learners for the proof of learning activity on the blog. They could then use these rewards to gain hefty discounts on my premium training. Hence the name learn and earn.....
