I feel like my steemit experience has really changed in the last month. Since I decided I was going to start investing in cryptocurrencies.
I used to browse my feeds and read about peoples, lives, families and travel. I'd check out some of the art and creative writing content. I used to spend way more time at the steemsilvergold tag, seeing all the amazing cool silver coins everyone was getting over there. I was totally naive to the world of crypotcurrencies when I came to steemit and wasn't interested at all, but have since had my eyes opened to the possibilities.
Now I'm finding myself scouring the crypto feeds for the next big tip on the next big coin, or finding ways to share my binnance referral link. (Yeah, it's hyperlinked there, pathetic eh?)
I'm going start making more of an effort to balance my reading and curation back to other content that I used to follow more often.
The thing that bothers me most and keeps my up at night is trying to decide how much steem/sbd to remove from Steemit for crypto investing. I really do think Steem has a big future I love having more Steem Power for my votes and sharing/delegating to all the great initiative around here.
I always find that any choice quickly becomes overwhelming for me, and having to make constant decisions is a real brain drain, So whenever I'm faced this these things. I always try to set rules for myself to follow so it eliminates any decision.
Source (This is also probably what the inside of my brain looks like.)
In light of this I have decided that I will only remove 50SBD/week for crypto investing and the remainder will remain on platform for power up my steem power.
We also usually pay cash to our mint for any Steem that we receive as payment for our silver products and I will continue to invest those proceeds towards other cryptocurrency investments.
I pledge to only send this much SBD off platform for the next 2 months, then I will evaluate again. I think this will help me to sleep at night.
I also hope that in 2 months I can also consider taking an additional small amount of the platform to but silver from one of the other online retails that also accept cryptocurrencies as payment.
