We are very clear what bitcoin represent nowadays.
At the same time, it could be a burden to do exchange with BTC.
I did a transaction with BTC and it has been two hours.

I did it through GDAX so hopefully everything should be all right.
I did verify the amount of unconfirmed transactions and it is a lot. I have seen worse than that. I have seen around 200k unconfirmed transactions.

If you have to cash out steem or SBD, use Litecoin or Ether for quicker transaction.
I have used 
Right click next to the amount you want to exchange and pick buy or sell. Blocktrades window will come to handle your business.
Make sure you add your deposit litecoin address so you can receive your exchange funds in Litecoin.
After you type your LTC address click on get deposit and this screen will come. It is getting easier to do business with blocktrades.
Make sure you use your active key with steemconnect.
Type your username inside the window and you will be transferred to steemconnect. Use your active key to do the exchange, Voila!
Since I am writing this post, the unconfirmed BTC transactions are climbing to 91k and my transaction still in limbo.
Hope everything goes right.
One day steem with his capability will make all these history.
It is mind boggling to see how fast STEEM is flying compare to BTC and the price is only $4.38 as i am writing this post.
