Today a purely economic theme and as economics and mathematics are side by side I will use the Portuguese bid-bot Hive account@ptbot to help us on maths.
Delegate SP or not delegate?
Is the question.
Delegate SP is transfer part of our SP to another Steem account for as long we understand, in principle for a profit.
Let's assume we have 1075 SP (75 SP are quite important because in case of SP delegation is recommended keep always at least 75 SP available) and the question is: What to do with 1000 SP.
Simple, or use for upvotes or delegates.
Upvote choice
With 1000 SP, which gives a voting value of 0.08$ with 100% of Power we can vote 10 times a day. Let's assume that with luck and some research on profitable posts we earn on curation rewards 0.030 SP for each upvote. Your curation will have a daily profit of 0.300 SP
Delegate
Here I'm going to support the math with Hive account@ptbot who pays daily to delegators 100% of the profit achieved through the bids of the day.
For 1000 SP delegated to Hive account@ptbot the average profit on last days has been 0.320 SBD and 0.100 Steem. With 0.320 SBD at today's quotation we get 0.267 SP, with 0.100 Steem we get 0.100 SP which gives a total of 0.367 SP against the 0,300 SP in upvotes and the job of looking for good posts to upvote.
