Having a punishment of 6 months Imprisionment and fine of 1000.Judiciary should disposed off through speedy trial & fastract trial by Lok Adalat.
Dowry causes the great Economic burden on brides family :
Lower standarad of living,
Dowry practice lower the status of women,
Dowry is a symbol of women injustice.
These laws were enacted to make it easier for the wife to seek redress from harassment by the husband family.Section 498A of IPC was introduced in 1983.Curelty & harrassment to women, Punishment of 3 year term & also liable to fine.
Curelty :- a) willful conduct to commit suicide for dowry demand.
b) harrassment of the women.
Section 113B of Indian Evidence Act 1872 [prerumption as to dowry death].Section 41 CRPC in july 2014 to accept 498A of IPC Amendments of July 2014.Fistly dowry was started by kings family as they were thought to that womens.
