It's such a rare plant that can be found in the mountainous provinces of Cebu, Philippines. This plant is called "Mayana" by the natives. There are a lot of species of Mayana and this one is a kind. It's leaves has a mild-rough texture. It's flower is white and purple (as seen on the picture above) and it is usually two to three feet tall.
According to the natives, this plant is useful in treating fever, coughs and cokds as it absorbs heat from the body. To use it, just ground its's leaves and wrap it with cloth and pin it to your clothes and should cover your navel. Effectively, after 2 hours, the leaves will dry out. Change the leaves every 4 hours or until it dries.
This has been an effective medicine. I have tried it too as my grandmother was an expert of herbal medicines. Please take note that seeing a doctor is always recommended.
