I was bitten by the cheetah bot once too. On my first post, I copied and reposted a blog post I already had on my website, and it angered Chester Cheetah's long lost robot love child.

My understanding is the site has had trouble with people copying content they think might get votes, and then claiming credit. (I'm guessing the name cheetah is a play on the word 'cheater'.)
