Wow! I can't believe that it happened so quickly. Only few days ago we were still at $0.70-0.80.
This is a big deal for us, it means that enough people believe in this platform to hold a stake in it, and it means that people could cash out their earnings anytime they want without incuring a loss. But why would they even cash out? The price is stable now, so it would make more sense to convert into Steem Power to increase your earnings in the future.
How much higher can we go? It's not unthinkable that your Steem Dollars would be worth much more than a dollar once Steemit gains even more traction. We know that there is the pegging mechanism (convert SBD to STEEM) for ensuring that a Steem Dollar gets you at least ~ 1$ worth of STEEM, but there's nothing limiting the price on the upside is there?
