According to coinmarketcap.com SBD is worth about $8 right now..
However if you look in your wallet next to Steem Dollars it says SBD is always $1 of STEEM.
So if we take a look at the SBD chart maybe this is not a rise in the price of Steem Dollars, but more a decline in the value of the dollar compared to SBD..
And since it has always equaled $1 USD maybe we are just seeing the start, and if this is true and that value flows into STEEM, which is currently at $6.01
Then if we multiply the USD value if SBD, and then by the price of STEEM using it as a base $1 peg that would be $8.08 x $6.01 = $48.56
Conclusion
Now I'm not saying I think this will actually happen, but if you take a look at SBD, which is not limited you will see it has inflated over 1 million supply in this post I did a couple of weeks ago..
"Is there a flippening for Steem Dollars and STEEM?"
And I discussed how this could happen, however I do not think it will be that easy or happen that fast, but it does seem like it is correcting. So I guess only time will tell!
Let me know what you think, and thanks for checking this out!
