It's been one week since I posted my previous post about the disabled withdrawal and exchange of steem on poloniex. The message they post is not encouraging at all:
That warning makes no sense for me as long as steem transactions can be done from other platforms. Further more, they work just fine, in a matter of seconds, from steemit wallet. So it's hard for me to buy what poloniex is stating, that steem platform is the root cause of the fact that they disabled steem!
When I read a few weeks alarming stories about poloniex I said it can not be that bad. At that time I had been using using Poloniex and without any major problem with them.
Now I'm afraid to keep any founds with them, simply because they have no restraint to block your funds for unlimited time. I understand they have reasons to block transactions but they should not block withdrawals. After all the money are ours and they should not do it!
I have 2500 steem blocked in poloniex. Currently I have almost 8500 steem power and I want to power up to over 10000(I would be to around 11000 SP), but poloniex is denying it.
Guy keep this in mind when you deal with poloniex! I was once very happy with them but now I'm totally disappointed. Remember there are many exchanges out there. I can name 2 of them which I used to buy steem: blocktrades and bittrex. Steem community should be aware of it so I'll keep posting those warnings on weekly basis, as long as steem withdrawal is going to be re-enabled on poloniex.
