SPUD XI: Power up and win

As another month starts it is time for another SPUD, aka Steem Power Up Day. This is a contest run by Hive account@streetstyle where you can win some prizes for powering up. There are some nice delegations to be had. I do not qualify due to my reputation, but I still take it as an opportunity to get some more Steem.

I have been watching the Steem price with interest. It was up over 20c again this week, but was back down to 18c this morning. I made use of the Stellar I got in the airdrop on Keybase again. I have used this up over a few months as I have no other use for it. I also used some £ to top it up. As usual I funneled this through my Wirex account and then Hive account@blocktrades to get the Steem. That only takes a few minutes.

I did this earlier, but waited until I was ready to post before powering up. Every time I add some Steem the bots try to sell their services, but I will not bite. The Hive account@pocketchange memo is his usual ranting about the unfairness of life. He is too scared to comment on the posts he buys votes for. If he declared what he had done they might be in less danger of getting downvoted.

This power up represents only about a 1% increase for me, but it adds up over the year and I keep earning Steem anyway. All I earn gets powered up. I am just over half way to orca now.

The charts from Hive account@coingecko show a spike in volume today. It is good to see Steem higher up the charts than it was recently.

If anyone else is powering up then let me know and I will hand out some votes where I can. I hope to see more people get to minnow level and beyond. Hive account@tenkminnows is still supporting would-be minnows, but we are still a long way from 10,000.
