The Steem Catalyst
I recently placed second in ' Digital Fan Art Contest. Pondering this amazing result, I began to think about what I was doing on the Steem Blockchain about 1 year ago. I went back to about the end of December 2018, which is just slightly over 1 year ago to compare my digital artwork from then to my most recent digital painting.
The artwork that I had posted on the Steem Blockchain back then I called Praña (sounds like Prah-knee-Ya due to the tilde ovder the letter n). At the time, I started with a pencil drawing of a single eye, took a picture of it, uploaded into Photoshop, and then turned into two eyes, then from there I created the face. I did this with a computer and mouse using Photoshop.
I continued using a mouse on my computer to draw for a few more months before before stepping up to buy an Apple Ipad 6 with Pencil. After seeing a friend of mine named Chris use one, I realized that I had to get one because drawing with a mouse was just too tedious and actually a little difficult when it comes to control needed to draw finer details.
Knowing that I was putting up my work on the Steem blockchain, while also learning from many of the great artist that have been and currently are on the Steem blockchain, inspired me to develop my artwork further through better art making tools. My artwork now using the Apple Ipad with Procreate software has truly become much better, but it would not have happened without the great Steem artists that are on here now putting up their artwork and art process for me to learn from. That is how I have learned to better my artwork technically, but my pursuit to do better has been inspired by kind and encouraging words from some of those Steem artists as well as from the Steem community.
is one of those inspiring artists. Through his artwork and through his supportive and encouraging words I too have pursued to post better digital artwork. Like myself,
was also inspired to create better artwork because of the Steem Blockchain (read his post here = How Has Steem Impacted My Life). Like myself and Masummim50, there are many artists ranging from photographers, painters, musicians, writers and many other types of artist including coders ( yes I think there is an art to coding too) who also pursue their passion and post on the Steem blockchain Clearly the Steem Blockchain and its community are both a hub and a patron of the Arts.
Thank you to all who have supported my blog and my personal growth here on the Steem Blockchain. Thank you to all the artists who also continue to put their work on the Steem Blockchain as well, your efforts give the blockchain vibrance and color while inspiring others like myself to purse and develop their hidden talents. Thank you to the Steem Blockchain founders, developers, Investors, all those that help maintain this blockchain and Every active participating Steem user because together you are the catalyst to the life of the Steem Blockchain. None of this would be possible without all of you coming together to make up this organism we call the Steem Blockchain Network.
Full Steem Ahead 2020!
