STEEM: Part Of The Bitshares Dynasty

There is some fear circulating regarding the introduction of EOS. The present challenges aside, many believe EOS is the true game changer this industry is desperate for. Being framed as an "operating system", this blockchain is believed to make most others obsolete.

That puts those who are involved with STEEM and Bitshares in a precarious position. What is going to happen to the holdings in those blockchains? Presuming that Hive account@dan learned as he went along, the belief is that EOS is the pinnacle of his blockchain trio. What is the point of STEEM and Bitshares with the latest, greatest, and most up to date coming out?

The term "The Bitshares Dynasty" was coined by Hive account@stan. In addition to being the Godfather of Bitshares, he is turning into quite a wordsmith.

Appearing on Crypto Connies Hive account@bluerocktalk last night, Hive account@stan and EOS developer, Fuzzy, spelled out what is truly taking place with these blockchains.

To put everyone's fears to rest, Bitshares nor STEEM are being challenged by EOS. In fact, it is the exact opposite. The introduction of EOS only makes these blockchains stronger since interoperability is starting to emerge. With coding that is similar, along with the basic make up of the blockchain, integration can occur.

According to Hive account@stan, the ones in trouble are the ones using POW. Being so different, they risk being left behind as all the development takes place on the blockchains that have a lot more to offer.

Hive account@fuzzy is a very interesting character in addition to being extremely bright. However, none of that compares to the heart the guy has. This was the first time I ever came across him and, to me, he epitomized the Age of Abundance. He truly cares about humanity which means that the direction he is looking is towards prosperity for all.

His message was that we are only beginning to realize the potential of this technology to help people all over the world. He personally started a number of projects including Whaleshares (which is a STEEM fork), all with the intention of helping others.

From a technical standpoint, the Bitshares Dynasty is going to allow for cross-chain development. Even if the blockchain developers chose to keep things separate, any developer can create a multi-chain application. Thus, we will see things that run on STEEM, Bitshares, and EOS. Wallet technology is the easiest idea to grasp yet it will extend far beyond that.

To me, this is akin to being out on an island or a part of a city. By having integration, now the little towns are suddenly connected. Incidentally, this applies to many of the graphene based blockchains since they were created using what Hive account@dan designed.

There is no competition between these blockchains. We are going to see thousands of experiments on them over the next few years. What we are going to witness is a convergence among them which helps to elevate them all. With the creation of more applications, the traffic on these blockchains should only increase. Fortunately, STEEM, Bithsares, and EOS are designed for that. And from what I understand, we can see this expand with the integration of EOS.

Hive account@stan and Hive account@michaelx spoke about the BENCH team. This is a group of developers who are putting together a platform (BENCH) that is integrated with EOS, using the Bitshares token, which has applications built upon the top of it. The advantage to this is that every Bitshares product or service will be available to every EOS blockchain that is created. At the same time, STEEM applications can run on there since the smart contracts will be wrapped onto the BENCH chain.

This is just one example of how interoperability will take place. There are others options like atomic swaps, side-chains, and multi-exchange transfers. Consider for a moment the possibility of all SMTs not only being paired with STEEM but also having the ability to swap for any smart asset created on Bitshares.

We are all part of the STEEM ecosystem. STEEM, in turn, is part of this graphene-based, DPOS group of blockchains that are emerging in a complimentary fashion to each other. Just like we cannot begin to imagine some of the creations that will make their way onto STEEM, we are going to be blown away by some of the multi-chain developments we come across in the next couple of years.

In short, Hive account@dan's latest generation of blockchain only makes the previous ones stronger. He is not out to eliminate the two older ones in favor of the latest child.
