The cryptocurrency market is beat up. There is no way to sugar-coat that. The pricing action the last two months is awful. STEEM is now flirting with heading below the $2.00 level.
What is one to do?
While the rest of the cryptocurrency space loses their head, Steemians have the advantage of doing exactly what the token was designed for. We can post, comment, and upvote.
In other words, it is time for Steemians to get busy.
We cannot control or effect the market unless we are a major whale with a lot of money. Markets are going to do what they want. They are not reflective of what is going on with the blockchain. Nonetheless, too many people see to let price action impact them.
Focusing upon what we can control is the key to success.
Steemians can control their activity on here. STEEM is a utility token which rewards people for their contributions to this blockchain. While the price might be down, the reward pool is still paying out each day. This is a fact that does not change and will remain in place for the next couple decades. The STEEM blockchain is very consistent; Steemians need to be also.

Of late, it appears some people pulled back. There can be a variety of reasons for this. However, I hypothesize that many simply do not like the negativity associated with a dropping in price. The FUD gets to them.
I can understand this. It is not easy to operate in this environment if you give it a lot of attention. Of course, it is only compounded if one takes it to be real. While the drop in price is real, the FUD surrounding it is garbage.
Yesterday, I posted an article about some of the headlines that I easily found regarding blockchain and cryptocurrency. These are big stories yet you do not see them splashed across the headline of the mainstream media. Since they stories do not fit into their FUD agenda, these are basically hidden.
There is a ton of stuff happening on the STEEM blockchain. With the first quarter being a train wreck for cryptocurrencies, it is hard to keep motivated. Yet, that is exactly what we need to do.
It is times like these where consistency is key. Instead of pulling back, we all must surge forward. It is time to get busy on here and increase our activity. I know many put forth maximum effort and dedication each day. These are the core people who are holding this blockchain together. It is these individuals who are the example to follow.

If you are one who writes an article a day, perhaps kick it up to two. During your travels around STEEM, post another couple comments. It is always good to get a fresh perspective by going into some of the categories where people from third world nations post. That will give some gratitude for the position we are in AND remind us how important even a few cents can be to some people.
The price of STEEM will recover. There is too much going on for this blockchain to fall by the wayside. It is easier to get active when one puts up a post and it makes 3 times what it is now. It is at these moments where we are challenged. Our role is to keep active some we set an example for newer people.
Unlike most other cryptocurrency holders who have to sit and watch their tokens fall in price, Steemians can ignore that and get busy.
I suggest that we all do that.
