Dear Community!
Currently, it is true that the value of a vote on Steemit is calculated linearly according to the Steempower, f.e. if someone has 10 times more Steempower also he has 10 times more Votepower.
For the "normal" range this is in my opinion Okay, but I do not think it's appropriate for this vote power to increase immeasurably.
How can you change this?
Now my first idea was to introduce a cap, f.e. to say that calculation will be according to a maximum of 10,000 Steempower no matter how much Steempower owns someone.
Disadvantage of this variant would be that probably many would pay their more than 10,000 Steem wallets and this would burden the Steem very strong.
Therefore, I've considered the following alternative and ask for your opinion:
Up to 10.000 Steem it is converted 1: 1 as now into Votepower.
From 10,000 to 20,000 Steem only half.
From 20,000 to 30,000 Steem only one third.
From 30,000 to 40,000 Steem only a quarter.
etc.
Has someone f.e. 40,000 Steem it would look like the calculation for voting power as follows:
1 x 10,000 Steem = 10,000 Steem
0.5 x 10,000 Steem = 5,000 Steem
0.33 x 10,000 Steem = 3,333 Steem
0.25 x 10,000 Steem = 2,500 Steem
In this case: 20.833 Steem.
So you can see that the over 10,000 Steem Steempower still leads to an increase of 10,833 Steempower for the Votepower, but not more to 30,000 Steempower as before.
Profiteer of such a change, of course, would be the little ones, especially the newbies, since the total number to be awarded Steem remains the same, what makes the big guys help a lot of little ones.
What do you think about such an idea?
Or maybe you have an even better idea?
