Just curious about those of us who stack silver. I'm wondering...
What you like about the coins or bars that you have.
Which do you think is the best to hold for the long term? or does it matter?
Do you think sovereign coins are better than generics? (there's usually that pesky premium)
Or, do you prefer bars?
Perhaps it doesn't matter?
I'll start out by sharing that I have a little of everything, depending on the stage where I was buying them. I probably am heavier on the sovereign coins at this point because they're supposedly 'real' money, altho ask the normal guy on the street and he just looks at the dollar amount on the coin, no real clue. I also have some coins that I like just because they meant something to me, or were just really cool art pieces as well. I have some bars but it seems like I try to find unique pieces that I like, but I have to admit, I search for a deal too LOL... because I don't usually have a lot of disposable income and look for the dips as well.
As far as investment goes, what do you folks prefer? I really like the metals no only for the fundamentals but also the idea that they've been worth so much historically. There are days when I just want to take a piece of ringed notebook paper out, draw some random $ amount on it, maybe a graphic instead of a face, then burn it just to remind myself that this is really what our fiat dollars are. (it's probably not a bad exercise lol)
Really interested in your opinions, well, if you don't think I'm too nosey :-) Oh, and just as a disclaimer, Please don't share how many ounces, pounds, or truck loads you have access to. We really don't need to know that and you need to be safe too.
Thanks everyone - pass it along if you think it might help someone :-)
