Thanks to my old pal 's post earlier today, I discovered I had been forced to 100% upvote a post that was in the 1000s of dollars. Yes, it's in their T&Cs somewhere, but a week ago Streemian was said to be dead. I followed the advice in Shane's post and revoked my permissions from Streemian, along with a few other services.
I heard somewhere about https://steemauto.com and how much better a service it was. I liked that I could create a fan base of people I could autovote, I could create a curation trail for my Muxxybot account and set the service to claim my rewards automatically. So I signed up, set it up and thought it was going swimmingly.
Alas, nope.
Going through my account operations on https://Steemworld.org I started noticing odd votes I had apparently made. I clicked on the posts in question and there is no way I would have voted for most of them. I mean, look at this.
and this...
shaking my head...
As you can imagine, I removed my votes. I checked the time of the first stray upvote and it coincided with me signing up to Steemauto. I didn't join any trails and the only people I added to my fanbase - people I would automatically upvote - are friends.
Sorry, but Steemauto looks about as reliable a service as Streemian. Do yourself a favour and do not sign up. I have since revoked permissions from it.
UPDATE: I just checked my @Muxxybot account that I'd signed up to and sure enough, the same thing there - random upvotes on shitposts.
Like what I do? Vote for my witness https://steemit.com/~witnesses - scroll below top the 50 witnesses and enter my name in the text box, then click vote. Thanks for your support.
