As I've described in a previous post, this month I searched for some candidates to receive the monthly giveaways myself, unlike what I did in previous months.
It was a very useful experiment, one that I'll probably repeat every once in a while.
Putting some distance from my regular feed, and searching in different communities on Steem (which mostly means different tags), revealed very interesting parts of the ecosystem, to which I rarely have contact with.
Each of these communities or Steem ecosystem areas has their champions, of course, but I was mostly looking for promises, undiscovered talents or people struggling in their beginnings. Or for niches that rarely have the spotlight on Steem.
I'm sure I could have done more or better. Hopefully it's a step in the right direction.

One final thought before I wrap this up: a delegation makes sense if you are using your voting power to vote, at least several times a day! Otherwise it would be a waste. I found other candidates suitable for a delegation as well, and I disqualified them because they didn't vote or voted at most once for themselves, when they posted.
