I can't help but notice the functions in this 19th-Century almanac..
that are direct ancestors to many basic apps in a modern smartphone or tablet.
I discuss these in the video below as I show you every page of this little booklet from 1884. This copy was actually printed two city blocks away from where I am as I write this.

All the print ads are so local and seemingly "targeted" - almost all of the companies with ads are within a radius of 1/8 mile from here in central downtown Bridgeport - that as I read thru this I couldn't help but feel that I was being "tracked" by some kind of Victorian Google...Ha! π
