Going back to the basics.
One of the basics for watercolor is painting the colors flat. It was fairly easy when I was coloring small shapes, its the big ones that's the problem.
Two things I learned :
bigger area needs bigger brush cause a wider area needs more water and such... That's why the big purple box turned out to be patchy.
make sure you have enough water ( basic stuff that I should have known better)
