Which of these things do people truely want in life, the desire to be with God or the wants for materials things. Each person must choose out of the two the one they truely want, because the truth remains that you can't serve two master at the same time, it is either you hate one more than the other or vice versa.
So one have to choose the one they want, choosing God and end up spending enternity with God for ever or material things that would not last and would surely lead to regret at the end of the road.
"Teacher he asked(the rich young man in the bible who approach Jesus), 'what good things must I do to receive enternal life? ', now looking at that statement what do you think? Is it that most people don't know what they must do to be saved, Just like the rich young man?.
Of course they do at least based on what I know so far. No sin is committed without the full knowledge of the consequences of the sin committed by hehe one who commit it, because it is due to the full awareness of the consequences of such sin that make it become offensive to God and of course also the sin.
Now this young man was not just rich, according to the scriptures he was a man who has been following and keeping the commandments of God right from his youth, but there was one thing that he lack, which was blocking him from the external life that he seek.
Now each one of us have to ask ourselves what is blocking me from the seeking God's kingdom, is it the love for money, fashion, wealth, power, e.t.c. the best thing one can do for himself is to examine is life completely letting go of things that does not add up anything to his life because the truth is that, what does not add up to one's life is definitely subtracting from his life.
According to what happened to the scriptures, it was told that this young man went home sad. Yes that is what it feels like to be separated from God, from your true nature which is loving God with all your might. And to my understanding to what I understood from that scripture I believe that young man was sad for the rest of his life.
