A lovely day to you my fellow brother and sisters. I'd like to clear the air about what people really think angels look like.

Remember back then in nursery School, or even elementary school, when we are meant to believe that angels are shinning Beautiful spirit with wings, long robs and a shinning belt, remember also the pictures of baby angels, flying around naked, with just wings and clouds just to cover their private parts. We were also told about female angels too.

Well, sorry to break it to you, all those was to make our childhood more peaceful and worth studying more about the angels of God. The truth of the issue is that, angels as the bible described to us, are scary looking being, that even when they come to you, the first thing they also say is, "do not be afraid." That statement alone shows the kind of appearance angels normally put up when coming to carry out a particular message from God.

THE TRUE FORM OF ANGELS

(Isaiah 6: 2):

Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying

Isaiah had a vision, where he was called by God to work for him. On the vision Isaiah saw the angels with six wings, two wings, they cover their faces, because as a sign of respect for the presence of God, and with two wings they cover their feet, because the presence of God was too holy as also as a sign of respect for the presence of the great and almighty God, and with the other two wings, they flew around his presence, singing his praise and worship him.

You see the facts that angels was not your everyday regular angels. Now another person that gave us a very good description of angels again is Ezekiel.

(Ezekiel 1: 1 - 10)

Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God. In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin's captivity, The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar

And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire

Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings

And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass. And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings. Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward. As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle

So Ezekiel gave us the most accurate appearance of an Angel, and mind you the angels that was seen by Ezekiel was said to be the cherubim angels, as they are other kind of angels, but not as we were told during our childhood.

Another situation that angels appeared was when Jesus left his Tomb, the angel that appeared to the deciples to proclaim his risen was seen with a shinning white Rob, no wings.

THE FEELING OF EXPERIENCING AN ANGEL

Another instance of a scary appearance done by an angel, was to Daniel, while he was praying. The angel first appeared to Daniel during his prayers, during that period, he came in the likeness of a man, but when he was coming again the second time, when Daniel was in the temple for the evening prayers, he came in his full form of an angelic being and with a swift speed, and daniel was scared, and he said to daniel, "do not be afriad". The bible also said that when the angel left, Daniel was sick for days.

Angels are not known to have any form of gender, the bible never place a gender in angels, but we are clear that, in the book of Genesis, God called the angels sons of God, sons, which signify male gender, and so we all assume the angels are of the male gender, and no we're in the Bible was they classify as female or babies.

(Genesis 6: 1 - 8)

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them

That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart

Furthermore, I'd like to inform you that regardless of the way angels look, they carry out the messages of God down to the letter and could take any form they please, just to make sure the message is well passed to the receiver, to the glory of God.

And also, angels are not to be worshipped because, they are just Messengers of the most high God and they do a perfect job. They are always around him in the multitude of numbers, while singing his praise and worship him in Glory.
