Greetings,
Peace be with you all parishioners of steemchurch, today is my pleasure to share with you another topic Do not go to Egypt
Now, the Bible discloses that the second time famine occurred took effect in the days of Isaac on the land called Gerar. Gerar means " drag away ". He desired for a shift of destination and dwelling from Gerar to Egypt but God said, " Go not down to Egypt: dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of "
Let us read what the scriptures actually says:
Genesis 26:1-6
"And there was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines, unto Gerar."
"And Jehovah appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:"
"sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;"
"and I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these lands; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;"
"because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws."
"And Isaac dwelt in Gerar:"
Famine is an extreme shortage of food. Bible accord it as the judgement of God against his people
2 Samuel 21:1
"And there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David sought the face of Jehovah. And Jehovah said, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he put to death the Gibeonites."
Let us also read something from,
1 Kings 17:1
"And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the sojourners of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As Jehovah, the God of Israel, liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word."
Isaac, a seed of Abraham who thought could be enjoying the promises of his father was experiencing the dryness in life. As at that time, Egypt was a land flowering with abundance of food and water. The human wisdom can tell us that he should shift in place to earn greener pastures but the intention of God is the ultimate. Note these brethren, that " *thousands of man's intention is less proportional to one action of God.
Egypt may seems to be the place and period in life where life presents itself as enjoyable but have you considered what Elohim says about you....? You may be lacking something to satisfy the human's desire but the Bible says many are the counsel of man but the counsel of God will stand. Dear one, you can be in your worst situation but God can locate you to allocate your portion onto you as a bond servant and child of light.

Prayer:
I am no longer under the restriction of the law. I live in the power of the righteousness that comes through faith in Christ Jesus. Amen
