He then said: "A man had two children, and the youngest of them said to his father: 'Father, give me the part of the property that corresponds to me.' He then told his livelihoods among them, and not many days later, the youngest son gathered all the things and traveled out to a distant country, and there wasted his goods for living a devastating life. everything, a severe hunger occurred in that country, and he began to need, he went and was added to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him to his fields to graze pigs. carobs that the pigs ate, and nobody gave him anything.
"When he fell, he said: 'How many of my father's employees have a lot of bread, while I ask for hunger here! I will get up and travel to my father and say:' Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you I'm no longer worthy to be called your son, make me one of your employees. "He got up like this and went to his father. While he was still far away, his father saw him and felt sorry, and he ran and threw himself around his neck and kissed him tenderly. The son then said to him: 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no more worthy to be called your son. Make me one of your employees. But the father said to his slaves: 'Light! Bring a long dress, the best, dress with it, and put a ring in your hand and sandals on your feet. And bring the fattened calf and I killed it, and we ate and enjoyed it, because this my son was dead, and he lived again; He was lost, but he was found. And they began to regale themselves.
Luke 15: 11-24 - New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures.
My dear ones, Parishioners
How many of us no longer act like the prodigal son? How many are today returning to their parents' house, repentant of their sins? How many today are not talking to the Father: 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no more worthy to be called your son. Make me one of your employees. ?
This is one of the biblical stories that most excite me, it is impossible not to cry every time I read this story. This is also one of the simplest and wisest parables told by Christ. In a simple way she tells the story of a man who believed that the "world" had something to offer him. But later he saw that without God, that far from the Father, there was no mercy, because even the food of the pigs people allowed him to eat.
Sometimes we go out into the world, we turn our backs on the people we love the most, the people who love us the most, we turn our backs on our father and mother, and the worse we turn our backs on Jehovah, our loving Father. From the beginning Satan shows a world of glamor love, of "wonderful" people, of parties, drink, of filth of the flesh, and everything seems to be peaceful. But time passes and Satan happy to have "won" that soul, he begins to show you the dark side of the world, begins to show you how dirty you are, takes away everything, you go to feel hungry and thirsty, and this hunger and thirst is not always It is bread and water, but thirst can be love, respect, spirit. You happen to be stepped on, to implore for the crumbs, you over, your clothes get dirty (these can be physical clothes, but they can also be your spiritual garments).
Within so many tribulations, you feel sustained, charged. You know why? Because God sustains you and because not only do you suffer with your choices, but God is sad to see his son suffering and increasingly sinking, as if he had fallen into a mud pit and trying to get out, he chokes because every time He tries to leave, the lands fall on his face and increasingly the well becomes deeper and dirtier. God supports you because he loves you and also because far away your father and / or your carnal mother pray for you and ask God for the return of the son.
So far the hand of God has sustained me, because I have waited on Him.
Reflect on it and have a beautiful and blessed life.
