The Church that is going to conquer the gates of hell is the one that receives and manifests the power of the Holy Spirit. Many times in our attempt to share the message of Jesus, we believe that we can do it without being fanatical of the Holy Spirit, but the reality is that Jesus could not do anything without Him. The primitive Church to face all the challenges that were presented to him, He could do it only with the power of the Holy Spirit.
We can not judge the strength or weakness of a church based on external factors such as size, location, prosperity or prominence. The apostle Paul's letter to the Corinthians points out that a strong church is one that is based on the message of the cross, and is based on the wisdom of God, not the world's wisdom.
Acts 1: 6-8: "Then they that had assembled asked him, saying, Lord, will you restore the kingdom to Israel at this time? And he said to them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father put in his own power; but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. "
We can not wait for the political and economic situation to be fixed in order to start doing something for God, if that were not the case, we would not have today the gospel. In the first three centuries the situations were terrible, and the gospel continued multiplying and preaching, in such a way that they were able to bend the Roman Empire; and that is, the Kingdom of God is that leaven that leaks all, that is, it can bring profound changes. But, it is God who is going to do it, it is not with an army, it is not with force, it is not with marches, but with my Holy Spirit, the Lord has said.
Acts 2: 41-42: "So, those who received his word were baptized; and that day was added about three thousand people. And they persevered in the doctrine of the apostles, in communion with one another, in the breaking of bread and in prayers. "
Remember that always the Holy Spirit comes as a consequence of a Church that prays, little prayer, little Holy Spirit; continuous prayer, continuous Holy Spirit. Jesus lived praying, he got up praying and he went to bed praying, and sometimes he did not go to bed, he spent the whole night in communion with God, so this thing works! One of the most important meetings that a Church has is that of prayer, because through it we create an atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to reign. In prayer we are empowered not to walk by sight, but by faith, so that our spiritual eyes may be opened to us and we may know that more are those who are with us than those who are against us.
But, we must pray, we must repent, praise and adore God, and die to our preferences, to what we like. Satan fears us when we are on our knees before Jehovah of armies, our battles are won on our knees! God is going to unleash an army of angels on the praying Church.
This Church exists for the salvation and redemption of humanity. One day we will no longer have to do worship services, because in heaven the angels will lead us, neither corporate fasts nor evangelism. One day we will have to go to heaven and we will realize that the most important thing was the salvation of a soul, so we have to return to it. The son of man came to seek and to save what was lost. This Church is not the personal enterprise of a man, it is property of Jesus, who died and gave his life for it, and it is administered by the Holy Spirit, who directs and empowers it over all the forces of hell. We exist to attract men to the knight of the cross! Our greatest passion must be that men be free from sin, sickness, demons, misery and hell, and that they live a prosperous life here, and have a holy life to go to heaven.
The power of God is given to the Church for His purposes, not for human plans.
If we raise this Church, there is no secret to what God can do in this country. If we can make the Holy Spirit the Lord of our lives and of our Church, we will make Him the Lord of all Venezuela and the world.
"... Life would be worthless if I did not use it to finish with joy the task that the Lord Jesus told me: to preach the good news about the immense love of God" (Acts 20:24, The Bible a Day)"
