Matthew 5: 11-12. For my sake, persecute them.
Blessed are you when, for my sake, the people insult you, persecute you and raise all kinds of slanders against you. Rejoice and be filled with joy, for a great reward awaits you in heaven. So they also persecuted the prophets who preceded you. Matthew 5: 11-12
Keep silence
... And alone with the Father he hears his voice
Keep silence and know when to do it is an art, a virtue. It is so important to keep silent that the same Word of the Lord tells us that there is "A time to be silent". (Ecclesiastes 3: 7)
In many circumstances of life we have to choose to shut up or say what we think, however most of the time what we want to express is our defense, perhaps the anger or feeling that we have at the moment leads us to say the wrong thing and cause wounds to another, sometimes we get desperate when we see that people slander us, and we can fall into their own ground "
The Lord has been talking about this topic, there is no biblical record of a Christian with a purpose or a great call that has not suffered persecution, slander. Worry when your life is calm, without challenges, means that you do not weigh the enemy, when hell knows that you are a carrier and manifestor of the glory of God on earth, will do everything possible to stop you, will use all resources available, even to loved ones.
We must be understood that our struggle is not against flesh or blood, but against principalities, postetades and hosts of evil in the celestial regions,
God bless you when people make you burle and chase you and lie about you and say all kinds of bad things against you because you are my followers.
be happy, be contents, because a great reward is expected in heaven. and remember that the ancient prophets chased them in the same way.
in this verse, 2 common types of persecution are named: vituperies and lies
vituperar is to insult in your own face.
persecution has various positive aspects:
- the kingdom of god belongs to you.
- you will have a great reward in heaven.
- the persecution separates the eyes from the believer of the earthly reward.
- remove the surface believers.
- strengthens the faith of those who remain.
- serve as an example to the future generations.
persecution demonstrates the faithfulness of christians. god is faithful and demands our faithfulness at every moment of our life living in holiness and obedience.
be faithful to the lord and grow in your spiritual life, persevere, do not run in your christian career.
walk step by step and grow in wisdom and grace before god.
do not be afraid of persecutions, god supports your life with union and grace. it only obeyes and remains in its presence.
Here is where the wisdom of God acts, we must be understood that we have an intercessor between God and man and that is Jesus, if we know that we are acting and doing the will of God, we close our ears to the persecutions and malicious comments of the people, because the work is of God, he will reward us in his time, let us be happy because our reward is great, we should not think about pleasing man, we should look at God.
If we put our trust in man, we will be disappointed. How many people tell you that they love you, they praise you, they give everything for you, you want them to be happy, they promise everything, and at the first opportunity they betray you. There, our emotional crisis begins because we trust in an earthly man, we all fail at some point, that is why we must know that God is the only one that remains faithful.I do not mean by this that we should not trust anyone, but we should be aware that this trust must be based on God.
There was a moment in my life, that I put my trust in someone, for me it was the best person, I confided certain aspects of my life, I was as impressed, but one day this person gave me a low blow, I cried a lot, the Lord Did you know: I allowed this to happen so that you understand that I am the first in your life, the man will always fail, what did I do when I suffered this disappointment?
Run to the arms of the father, to receive consolation. We must take care of our heart of resentments, lack of forgiveness or create roots of bitterness in our soul, just turn the page, go forward and know that those who love God, all things help him well.
Think a little, Moises, Jose, David, Jacob and our great savior Jesus, were persecuted because of justice, today I come to tell you that it is time to keep silent before those who accuse you, and say false testimonies against you, the same God of heaven will raise the flag to defend you, I share this verse:
Psalm 37: 12-17 Reina-Valera 1995 (RVR1995)
12 The wicked press against the just
and his teeth gnash against him.
13 The Lord will laugh at him,
Because he sees his day is coming.
14 The wicked draw their swords and tighten their bows
to overthrow the poor and the needy,
to kill those of right conduct.
15 His sword will enter his very heart
and his bow will be broken.
16 Better is the little of the just
that the riches of many sinners,
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken;
but the one who sustains the righteous is Jehovah.
