MEMORY VERSE: "YIELD YOURSELVES UNTO GOD" (Romans 6:13)
The preacher Jeremiah made his way along the narrow streets until he reached the house of the potter.
Jeremiah was a prophet of God and he love God so much. God wanted him to learn from the potter so he sent him to wash the potter mould and shape a lump of mud clay. So that that he will understood the actual meaning of a potter.
There sat the before his big, round, flat wheel. slowly he turn the wheel while he carefully, patiently, steadily, parted the clay here and pressed it there. He was trying to shape it with his hands into a vessel that will be lovely to look at and useful too. God was trying to explain to Jeremiah on how the potter was making the clay very carefully without rushing it.
The potter had carefully mixed the clay before he started his work, just as God carefully prepares our hearts to live for him. When we are save, God gives us love, Joy, peace, gladness to make us a wonderful and precious clay in his sight.
God wanted him to learn on how the potter took his time to design and create the clay.

Oh! the potter's wheel has stopped. The potter cannot go on with his work. The clay has become dried and hard and it will not move any way the potter tries to shape it to.
What God was trying to explain to Prophet Jeremiah is that when something go on in our life, like for instance sin come into our life, we will become useless i the sight of God. Sin make our life hard to understand the word of God. At that time we are sinner, God can no longer mould us to his will.
A heart can get that way, too. if a child forget to pray, sing or learn his memory verse, Read the bible, he/she begins to loose the love of God out of his heart. He/she begins to want to go on his own way. No matter how much God tries to work with him, there is no love left in his heart to make him sweet and obedient. he/she will not do any thing God tries to tell him to do.

There is a question. Is the potter going to throw the clay away? No, that piece of clay is till good. It just need little fixing.
This write up is talking about sinner. When sinner sin against God, they become hard like the clay. But when they give their life to Christ , God need to add water to the Clay to soften it and make it useful again.
The potter add some water and works the same piece of clay with his hands until it is soft and smooth. He knows this time it will be just right, and it is.
Quickly, he makes a beautiful cup or bowl with no trouble at all. why? because the clay is ready to be moulded, just as we should be ready to obey Jesus any way he may turn us or send us.

Jesus is our potter and we are his clay. Jesus can do great things, but he can not work with children to make them sweet and kind and helpful unless they will soften their hearts and pray.
SO MY THERE BROTHER'S AND SISTER'S LET US BE A GOOD CLAY TO THE LORD SO THAT HE CAN MAKE US USEFUL IN
