Luke. 15:11-32
A wealthy man had two sons, the younger one woke up one day and felt he needed to stay independent and asked his father for his share of his inheritance, his father gave him and he went away and because he had poor financial management, he spent all lavishly until he became so broke that he worked for a man who owned pigs.and his payment was to share food with pigs.
What the heck?
Anyone who studied Animal science or did something related to piggery?
Even a mad man will come to his senses with the stench oozing from there.
Back to my story
This young man came to his senses, he came to find out that
A SON IS STILL SON REGARDLESS OF WHAT HE HAS DONE.
He decided to go home and beg his father to even be a servant and he’ll be better of than being with pigs.
But his father deepened the sonship privileges by letting him know that
A SON DOES NOT BECOME A SERVANT BECAUSE HE ERRED, JUST RETURN(to your senses)
I bet you have been following this story, and i have spent time talking about the wasteful son, but sorry, i’m actually looking at the other son. You can call the younger prodigal, i will call the older Ignorant.
After the welcome party the father did that featured cow meat pepper soup, barbecue, suya and drinks with good music, the older son felt bad and asked his dad that why would he spend so much on this wasteful son that returned and yet him that is so faithful, righteous and loyal, yet nothing to show for it.
The Father replied in a profound way, My son, i agree, you have been faithful and righteous, you have been with me too, but you didn't know that
ALL THAT I HAVE BELONGS TO YOU, son, you never asked.
My chest!!!
You mean this older son would have not been eating food without enough meat in his food only if he had asked?
What a foolish boy!!!
To whom it may concern:
Being righteous does not qualify you for Blessings until you ask. If you don’t know what you have, you won’t know what is stolen or what you lack, same way if You don’t know what is written, you will be written off.
Know your sonship rights
Know what belongs to you
Then start making demands
For everyone that asketh, receiveth. Matt. 7:8
