Timothy1:6-7 "Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love and of a sound mind.”
The gifts of God cannot be revoked and when God gives unto people, He gives bountifully and does not reproach His children. No man on earth can outgive God because He is all about giving. When God gives any gift, know for sure that it is yours for the taking. God is not a man that plays with words. Whatever He has given unto you is all yours, and whatever He has not given unto you is not yours. The Bible says that "God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of ower, and of love, and of a sound mind", then we realise that we don't have the spirit of God when we begin to doubt God.
Timothy 1 reveals the admonition of the apostle Paul to Timothy as He tells him to stir up the gift of God in him by the laying on of his hands. Paul knew Timothy possessed the gift of God and it has not dissipated from Timothy when he laid his hands on him. That is how benevolent and good God is to everyone. So we have to learn to stir up the gift of God in us and not allow it lie fallow or dormant in waste.
How then do we stir up the gift of God in us? Prayer is the key and will always be the key. Also consistent use of our
God-endowed gift. To make the gift of God work for us always, we must not abuse it. God's gift bestowed on you:
makes you responsible for the operation and effectiveness of it. When your gift is actively in use to glorify God, it delivers the grace of God without delay and when it is not in use, it drags in the delivery of what it contains.
Permits sensitive and consciousness of what God is doing in our lives and As christians we must remember to use your gift to bless the life of others.
