what is war?
War is simply the absence of peace. It is the process of fighting between two groups of people or it it is the conflict existing between two groups or countries leading to destruction of lifes and property.
War for so many years has made the lives of so many people useless and miserable, it has bring about total distruction and displacement of people from one place to another. War has never been recorded as one of the best way to settle conflict or problems between individuals rather, war has caused emotional, psychological and spiritual problems for so many Christians.
the world war I & II
for instance during world war I, and world war II which affected millions of Christians within the world between 1914 and 1939. Life was made terrible to those in Asia , Europe, America and Africa due to the fact that properties which worth billions and life was lost in the course of the world war. The major course of this was basically the selfish interest of group of people who where called leaders then in the different continent . War has never be fare for both believers and unbelievers.
what has war done to Christians?
Mr chima james who lived In bama local government of borno state Nigeria before 2013 went through so many trauma due the effect of boko haram terrorism which brought about absence of peace in not only Bornu state alone but also the entire Nigeria. Mr John was always dedicated Christian his entire family vanished within one day , his wife and children where killed one day in one of the market located in bama local government area .it affected this man greatly , to tthe extent that he never believed that God exist which is one of the things war does to Christians at times.
Rev. Fr. Polycarp of all saint narrated what terrorism and war has done to the people in Nigeria he listed that about 10,000 people where displaced as from 2012, 7,000 married women became widows,
10,000 children became orphans,
20 religious sisters –Augustinian sisters were displaced and Novitiates and convents destroyed,
5 clinics destroyed,
20 priests were displaced,
More than 200 catechists and volunteers displaced. Most of them lost houses and properties worth millions of dollars.,
32 out of the 40 elementary, junior and senior high schools destroyed
More than 100,000 homes were destroyed
Government structures and roads, police stations and others were reduced to mere ruins

War have never been good and has never for ones favoured Christians in the world for so many years rather it has been a problem to people who are are always involved in it. (Romans 3:10-18) In a world filled with sin, hatred, and evil
what did the bible say about war?
Even when God encouraged the israelite to go to war with(jericho, siddim, aphek, merom megido Palestine etsc)countries in the old testament(1 Samuel 15:3; Joshua 4:13). God ordered the death penalty for numerous crimes (Exodus 21:12,) he the bible has always be against any thing that will cause absence of peace. This is to show how harmful it is to humanity. Christ in his time on earth always preach the need for peace
Exodus 20:13, You shall not kill,” and then seeking to apply this command to war.

what then shall we fight?
The only war we should always fight is the war with the devil and evil we should not pray for war to come , if they is war pray for the safety of the people an never seek for war. Peace brings happiness and love.
