How many are free from such dreadfulness of grace dispensation?
I was discussing with my pastor friends and some of believer friends and I told them that the worst thing that has happened in the Christendom is such a scenario where men jumps into pastoral work without being properly equipped for the work of the ministry, what I’m talking about is not going through seminaries or Bible schools because what they are taught in those places mostly are doctrines of men which at the end results in religious plays and games.
What I mean is the school of the spirit just like apostle Paul who the Spirit of God took to desert 🐫🐪 of Arabia just for him to be tutored by God Himself.
Well this is not the area that I’m really going but I just want to talk about it because it still forms the base to what we’re going to look further into.
We were trying to see the dangers that one may encounter if not well informed about the righteousness and the grace of God. In our last post, we looked at Lot’s wife who turned into a pillar of salt as a result of instant judgment for disobeying the instructions of God.
Now I’m saying that grace is (deadlier) than the law became when grace is misunderstood, a man may be dead spiritually without knowing or without people knowing just because he or she is not receiving the instant judgment and punishment from the father for disobeying his word or for taking his grace for granted.
Let’s see some of the the dangers in not properly trained in the righteousness of God and in taking the grace of God for granted.
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Revelation 3:14-19
This is a church that were deceived by their lack of understanding about the grace of God and the long suffering of God, the failed to understand that the grace of God is not to be abused or to be taken for granted, rather it’s there to lead to a fast and genuine repentance.
Now the church at Laodicia were busy celebrating their worldly achievements right inside the church, now I’m not talking about their individual achievements, am talking about their achievements as a church like; big membership, big church auditorium, big church account that was taking care of everyone of them. At that point, their achievements led them astray and took their trust away from God and from the eternal crown for which they were called.
It’s the abuse of the grace of God that led them in such testimonies just like what we see in churches today, men coming to pick microphones 🎤 to testify worldliness and earthly accomplishments inside church! And their so called leaders are there clapping 👏 and praying more useless prayers for more of worldly wealth for them. They do what they do and go free because of grace dispensation, but I tell us, such situations are highly deadly because if Christ should come or if physical death should meet such people at that spot, that’s it, they may lose out in the kingdom of God or suffer loss in eternity.
