The incredible thing about the Gospel is just how simple it is. You dont need a doctorate in theology to understand it and you dont need years of study to live it. You just need faith. Ultimately you will find that it is not the great arguments that stop many people from committing their lives to Christ. It is its simplicity.
Our world is complex and complex problems require complex solutions, or at least most people think. Yet the Gospel remains simple. Becoming a Christian doesnt mean, of course, that we become an anti-intellectual. We dont need to kiss our brains goodbye. But at the same time, we must never intellectualize the Gospel. God, who is far more intellectual than the brightest minds this world can honor, has reduced the Gospel down to one simple requirement faith in Christ. This may be a stumbling block to the sophisticated modern mind, but this fact cannot be altered to suit modern tastes. The Gospel is a simple Gospel.
