LIVING TO THE AUDIENCE OF ONE!
Many times when we do something for someone else, we do it because it makes us feel good. It actually strokes our own ego and we can become proud. If after we do this thing, we receive fully our reward as we feel good. Many times the person that we did something good to, does something not so good in return.
Then we are heart broken and possibly angry.
The wonderful thing about doing things because it pleases the Heavenly Father, with our goal to make Him happy and to lift up the Name of Jesus, then either way things turn out, good or bad, we still can have joy as we were created for His pleasure.
Our goal was to please Him and we pleased Him.
Jesus said, if we do good to others that can return the favor, how are we any different than anyone else in the world? Live to the Audience of One! If we please Him and nobody else, this is success to the Christian.
1Co 10:31 “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
