As humans and totally inperfect in our humanity sometimes we let our emotions control the deciones, our attitudes and even the transcendent moments of our life, this is totally a mistake, because in God we must wait for the answers and in God we must base our decisions and even our impulses.
This is not easy to achieve, for example if we are very upset the best thing is not to make decisions at that time but often the anger blinds the duty to be and flows in us attitudes that are not correct; but definitely in God nothing is impossible, and experiences serve to teach us.
After many years in the gospel I understood that I must base everything on everything that God directs me to do.
When we guide them by emotions we are blinded and can even be close to people or places that are not part of God's purpose in our lives; but as there is affection or attachment we are not able to silence our desires to start listening to the desires of God.
If you still have trouble applying this to your life, pray much to God for Him to take control of this; since being guided by emotions and not by the Holy Spirit can retard the purpose and blessings of God in us.
